NOTE: This program is reserved for participants that are currently on our winter program in Florida (October - May/June). In addition, there are no program or administrative fees for the Summer season.
Step 1 - Complete the necessary forms
An application form will be sent to you by Workaway International in December.
Complete the Resume Template by the scheduled deadline.
Step 2 - Attend an interview
Positions for the summer program are extremely limited. We will do our best to give all applicants to have the opportunity to interview. However, priority will be given to current Workaway participants who are top performers at their club.
The interviews are typically held the second or third week of January. You will receive notification of the interview schedule a month before.
Step 3 - The outcome of the interview will be emailed to you
The northern clubs will make their primary and alternate selections. If you have been selected as an alternate there is a chance that there will be withdrawals or fall out and you could be moved up to a primary position.
Step 4 - Compilation of necessary documentation
We will begin collecting the necessary documents in order to process your visa extension. We will have most of the documents on file in our Florida office. If we are missing anything we will send you an email requesting the missing items.
Step 5 - Visa application
Your supporting visa documents will be sent to the lawyers to process. Your paperwork will be filed with the government in March. You will receive your visa extension once you arrive at your northern club.
Step 6 - Transportation
Workaway will arrange ground and air transportation to your northern club at no cost to you. However, you will be required to pay the baggage fees the airline charges. You will be reimbursed for 1 piece of luggage. Travel policies will be emailed to you prior departures.
